That is truly a gift, to be able to be that active until almost the end of your life.

People don't think it's like that but it is, for all of us, eventually.

By "this alive" I think they meant physically active and wits about her despite her age. For many of us, unfortunately, it's not like that eventually: a slow and complete deterioration even before death.
