As other comments have noted, "trust" is too complex a word for a
clear discussion. With teens there's a different quality of
affect. It's a time of life for seeking role models. Looking for
adults and ideas you would like to be. It is more aspirational,
morally and socially sensitive than mere transactional trust.
In liberal democratic countries like USA or Britain young people grow
up with the expectation of making choices and having a voice, so these
affiliations really matter. We're seeing younger people realise, and
clearly express their disgust at "tech leaders" and their companies.
