exactly. It's not often your motivation thats the problem, but motivation cost. Being appreciated lowers motivation cost greatly. People like rewards. This is how people play gamea for thousands of hours. Cause the motivation cost is so small. Im not saying to gamify the workplace. But i do say that we have to stand up to appreciate our peers: cause we cant testify for ourselves without sounding petty.
