A friend of mine retired recently at 59 and seems like that's a lot of investment money out of the system(stocks). If he's the norm. He's using CDs to get enough interest to stay afloat.


59 in 2023 means born in 1964. That's very late baby boom, early Gen X.

The peak baby boom was born in 1960/61, those folks are at least 62. Most baby boomers are already retired, so I'm guessing not much effect, or maybe the effect is the labor shortage typically blamed on COVID.
