I've been working remotely since 2012. I even travelled around Asia for a year in 2013. This is all contracting/consulting work. I never told my client at the time that I was in Asia and had to work until 3am most nights.

Back then, less than 1% of the jobs I found were remote. This is why I got into contracting in the first place.
