In my account, I had 2FA active and a decent but not "super" password. On Monday, a "recruiter" from Mindlance reaches out via Messaging and wants to talk about a job. I check their profile page, decide it's harmless to proceed. We set a time and I provide my phone and email. At appointed time, said recruiter is a no-show. I check their profile page again and the photo is gone.

Yesterday (Friday), I find that I have disappeared from LinkedIn entirely. They don't recognize my email, and when I search for myself from my wife's account, I cannot find any trace of myself. The Mindlance "person's" page is gone, too.

Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, but...I didn't realize my account was so valuable to bad actors. Was my account and identity used to spam people? Or did something else happen and LinkedIn just decided to nuke me from orbit without warning?

Has this happened to anyone else? I reported my account as compromised (with the Mindlance URL) but I wonder if LinkedIn will even respond. Maybe I should just suck it up and rebuild a page (I have all the text) sans decade of contacts?
