He talks about the human element and it being something which AI lacks and I would say the human element is lacking in this piece. People write to express themselves, to share, and to create, the sense of accomplishment is lost when you move creation and expression to AI. This is not making writing more accessible as he asserts, it is at best making the use of AI more accessible by explaining to people how they can use it to be mildly entertained (distracted) for a while until the next fad comes along. The really big thing that will prevent AI assisted writing from getting any real foothold is that how are "writers" going to feel about their writing when it turns out the only bits anyone wants to talk to them about end up being the parts written by the AI? They will end up feeling that AI is a better writer than they are and give up writing because what's the point and they only started writing on a whim anyways because it was so easy.

In these early days of AI there is a sense of accomplishment in gaming the system but that will pass once it gets done a few times and it will be about as exciting and fulfilling as printing out a copy of your favorite painting, it will be banal.
