I sometimes feel skeptical about `privilege' and `white privilege' and I think of them as over applied twitter concepts. But then I read articles like this and I am reminded of the meaning of privilege. I'm basically not stressed. I am very happy with my financial outlook. I'm about to lift weights. I bake my own bread. I have a supportive and kind partner. I do math. Biases go in my favor. The narrative in this article basically doesn't jive with my lived experience. Each year my life has basically monotonically improved.

My one interaction with a peace officer was scrubbed from my record because of a nice apology letter I wrote.

I guess that is privilege and it is real.
