Echoing others that have mentioned Adafruit - you can’t neglect the practical side of electronics and Adafruit has some of the best, most practical tutorials, walkthroughs, and resources for much of the digital electronics space. Learn by doing with an Arduino, some lights, and maybe an Ethernet add-on or a sensor add-on.
