These ideas are probably as old as humanity, which is I guess why author did not bother to explain further.

The trick is that perceived effort != actual effort.

So the big question is: how much you can reduce this perceived effort?

Try a professional mask, like 3M 7500 with 2138 filters.

Thanks, that's one of the masks I use! Unlike the GVS SPM587 it has a quick release thing so you can get to your hydration for water and microplastics :/

Reminds me of juicero, apperently it's engineering was also pretty solid.

The juicero wasn't well-engineered, it was overbuilt, and comically so. Apparently BOM cost did not feature in the product requirements.

There's a saying - anyone can design a building that stands, but only an engineer can design a building that just barely stands.

Haven't heard that one but it makes a lot of sense lol

Would be fun if this devolved into psychodelic, hypnotic videos that have no cognitively discernable content (like white noise) but evoke an urge to press the like button.

I'm just curious if such thing is possible.

Half of TikTok is blurry videos wtere you can’t tell what’s happening overlaid with meaningless text and random noises, so this wouldn’t be much different.

Yeah, I thought lack of typing in python was intentional to support this another paradigm of programming for geniuses who don't need hand holding.

Turns out they just didn't know any better?

How would a static type system have anything to do with handholding?

This is random, but I wonder if it would be possible to render BG3 with isometric camera, and then, on the fly, convert most of 3d objects into sprites.

In an alternative reality, Chris invented Mojo at Apple (instead of Swift).

If one language was used for iOS apps and gpu programming, with some compatibility with python, it would be pretty neat.

That was originally what swift was meant to be actually.

Interesting that the perception of objects/text does not disappear immediately, there is smooth fade out.

> that said, the default mode network should not be unjustly demonized.

Yeah, scrolling tiktok is pretty good at silencing the DMN. This practice does not seem to be particularly beneficial.

Funny that EU made iPhones more compelling by enforcing USB-C and side loading.
